Terms of service

Who we are
Renbase is a service of Renaiss AI Solutions, S.L., Spanish tax ID B13645973, registered office at Calle Conde de Peñalver 26, 28006 Madrid, España. You can reach us at [email protected].
Agreement
By using Renbase you agree to these terms. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you can bind that organization, and "you" then means the organization.
The service
Renbase is a governed context layer: your documents and business definitions in one corpus, versioned and human-approved, served to your people and your agents over the workspace, the REST API and MCP. We grant you a non-exclusive, revocable right to use it under these terms.
Your account
Sign-in is by one-time email code, and API keys authenticate services and agents. Keep both to yourself: you are responsible for what happens under your credentials. Issue one key per integration so you can revoke it in isolation, and tell us at [email protected] if you suspect one has leaked.
Your content
Your content stays yours. By uploading documents or writing definitions you grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store, process, index and return them with citations. We do not use your content to train models and we do not use it for any other purpose.
You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Don't put content in the corpus that is unlawful, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware.
Acceptable use
- Don't try to reverse-engineer or extract the source of the service
- Don't circumvent rate limits, credit accounting or access controls
- Don't reach for another organization's content or attempt to
- Don't interfere with the infrastructure or with other customers' access
- Don't use the service for anything unlawful
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, with prior notice whenever that is reasonably possible.
Credits, prices and taxes
Starter runs on prepaid credits: you top up and each question consumes one. There are no seats and no subscription, so there is nothing to cancel; when credits run out the API answers with 402 until you top up again. Enterprise runs under a separate agreement, which prevails over this section where they differ.
Credits never expire. What you buy stays in your balance for as long as the account is active, with no deadline to spend it. If your plan grants a periodic allotment, renewal works as a floor: it raises the balance when it sits below the allotment and never lowers it, so nothing you paid for is lost on renewal or on a change of plan.
Published prices are in US dollars and exclude indirect taxes. VAT or its equivalent applies according to your country and tax status at the time of the charge. The payment gateway issues a receipt for every payment, and your invoices are available from the workspace.
Refunds
Credits are supplied immediately and are generally non-refundable. We do refund a charge that was wrong, duplicated, or never turned into balance, and one you couldn't spend because of a failure on our side: write to [email protected] within 14 calendar days of the charge and we'll sort it out.
If you buy as a consumer, Spanish law gives you fourteen days to withdraw; by requesting the top-up you ask us to supply the service immediately and acknowledge that, once fully performed, that right is lost under article 103.a) of the Spanish consumer protection act (TRLGDCU). Renbase is sold to organizations, so this will be the exception.
Availability
We work to keep the service up, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability under the Starter terms. Any uptime commitment lives in the Enterprise agreement.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided as is and with the reasonable care of a professional in the field, with no warranties beyond those the law imposes and cannot be waived. Renbase retrieves and serves the context you govern; it doesn't replace the judgement of whoever decides with it, and we are not responsible for the content you upload or for the decisions you make from an answer.
Except as set out in the next paragraph, our total liability to you for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to it, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential damages.
None of the above limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or anything else Spanish law declares cannot be limited — including the guarantees consumers are entitled to.
Enterprise and BYOC
Under bring-your-own-cloud, Renbase is deployed inside your own infrastructure. Your corpus never reaches us, and the operating responsibilities of each side are set out in the engagement agreement.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Renbase and close your account whenever you want. We may end the agreement if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice and time to export your content.
Changes
When these terms change we update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify account admins by email before they take effect.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute arising from them, both sides submit to the courts of Madrid, Spain, waiving any other forum that might apply.
That submission does not apply if you contract as a consumer: the forum the law reserves for you —that of your domicile— applies instead, and you keep every right consumer law grants you. You can also use the European online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
If a court holds any of these clauses void, the rest stays in force and the void one is replaced by the valid provision closest to its purpose.
